Betty J. Riddle

Betty Jean Riddle, age 84, of Blue Ridge Church Road, died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at her home.Born on March 22, 1933 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Sparks Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Dave Riddle who passed away in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her daughter; Patricia Riddle; an infant son; Stacy Riddle; her brothers; Junior, Bill, Harry, and Perry McKinney and her sisters; Rita Anderson and Marilyn McKinney.Betty will be remembered as kind, loving person that loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She enjoyed going to yard sales, her flowers and traveling.Left to cherish her memories are her son; Gene Riddle and wife, Debbie of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren; Josh Riddle and wife, Shonda of Spruce Pine; Jason Riddle and wife, Becky of Spruce Pine; and Justin Miller of Charlotte; great grandchildren; Damion Riddle; Tiffany Riddle and her mother, Cindy Boone, Staci, Adison, and Devin Riddle; and her great great grandchild; Journey Riddle.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Betty Riddle on Wednesday, October, 18, 2017 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev’s. Cephas Renfro and Arthur Buchanan officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 3:00 pm until the service hour in the funeral home chapel.
