Chris McClintick

Christian H. McClintick, 44, of Spruce Pine, NC died on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.Born on August 14, 1973 in Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Andrew John McClintick and Mary Higgins McClintick.Chris was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served twelve years with the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department. His life was exemplified by his dedicated service to his country and local community. He was a devoted member of St. Lucien Catholic Church in Spruce Pine. Chris will be remembered as a loving son, generous brother and caring friend to many. His beloved children, Ava and Finn, were his greatest joy.He is survived by his mother; Mary H. McClintick of Marion; his children; Ava and Finn McClintick both of Spruce Pine; his wife; Van McClintick of Spruce Pine; his brothers; Charles Sherlin and wife, Donia of Asheville; Shannone McClintick of Asheville; and Jeff McClintick of Marion; special nephew; Michael Tumminello; and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at a Memorial Mass on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Linville (across from Grandfather Country Club on Hwy 105) with Father Christopher Gober officiating. Burial will follow at Mt.
