I worked with John as a foster home for Mitchell County Animal Rescue and always admired his willingness to pitch in and help. He was a great inspiration to me.

Remember the time Cacey gave him her rooster? It was a fighting one and attacked the trick or treaters and the trees? John laughed so many times over that. We loved him.

Annis sweetie you and your family are in my prayers. I am sorry, John was a wonderful person. David and I loved you both with all our hearts.
Mitchell County Animal Rescue would like to extend our condolences to John Warren's family. In the early years of our organization, John was a devoted volunteer and advocate for lost, neglected and abandoned animals in Mitchell County. Long before we had an animal shelter, John could be counted on to respond to rescue an animal in need and transport it for vet care, often in terrible weather. John cheerfully encouraged us to keep on working to get the public support we needed to build a shelter. He worked our adoption events and attended public meetings. We are so grateful for John. He helped us to create a foundation of caring and grassroots activism to build on. Thank you John for your service to MCAR.

John always had a happy smile on his face. He carried our mail for years on Dale Rd. He had such a friendly and outgoing personality. Many times I'd make cookies and left them in the mail box for John, and he always left a little thank you note for me.
Heaven's gain, our loss!
God Bless this Family
