John 'Dickie' Williams

John “Dickie” Williams, age 77, of Feldspar Street in Spruce Pine, died Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his home.Born on December 26, 1938 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Dick and Esther Carpenter Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Norma Willis, brothers; Buddy and Hoyt Williams, and a niece; Bethany Buchanan.Dickie was a member of Berry Chapel Baptist Church. People will always remember him for his mechanic abilities. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix.Left to cherish his memories are his nephews and nieces; Chris Williams and wife Angel and Selena Buchanan and husband Mark, all of Spruce Pine, also Kellie, Blaze, Zack, Tristen and Garrett Buchanan, Riley, Daman and Jacob Williams, Frosty Williams and wife Sandy, Janie Conner and husband Chris, Jessie and Casey Conner and David Williams, a sister; Dema Sue Williams, an aunt; Senia Carpenter Pendley, sisters in law; Joy and JoAnn Williams and special gal friend; Louise Cox.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Dickie Williams on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Berry Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 6:00 pm until the service hour at the Berry Chapel Baptist Church.
