Lou Ella Vance

Lou Ella Vance, age 74, of Brook Shell Drive in Elk Park, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her home.Born on April 30, 1942 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Clate and Lucy Taylor Dellinger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Johnny Beam. She also preceded in death by her second husband, Kay Vance and her step father, John Burleson.Lou Ella enjoyed spending time with her family and particularly her grandchildren. She loved to paint, flowers, and birds. She also enjoyed spending time with her sister and best friend, Marie. Left to cherish her memories are her children; Steve Beam and wife, Rosa of Newland; Kim Cable and husband, Kenny of Elk Park; Teresa McClain and husband, Ricky of Elk Park; Brenda Smith and husband, Steve of Surf City, NC; Lori Beam of Roan Mountain; and Jonathan Beam of Elk Park; her sister and best friend, Marie Watson of Newland; she also has five step-children. There are sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Lou Ella Vance on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Shoupe officiating. Interment will be in the Pittman Cemetery on Henson’s Creek Road. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 6:00 pm until the service hour in the funeral home chapel.The family would like to extend a special ‘Thanks’ to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge for their wonderful care of Lou Ella.
