I just found out about Nell's passing. She will be greatly missed, I loved her a lot.
Nell will be missed by many people.
I am so very sorry to hear of Nell's passing. She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful soul. So many memories of visiting her in Spruce Pine or walking across the street when she was here to visit. My children grew up loving her as if she was their grandmother Patsy and Burl have always been family to me. My heart aches for them as they say farewell to this great lady. It is not goodbye....just see you later. I love you all very much and praying for comfort. <3 <3 <3
I worked with "Little Nell" for several years at the hosiery mill. She was always so sweet to me. She would come by the office and talk to me almost every day. Even after the closing of the mill we kept in touch by phone but I had not heard from her in quite a while. I feel really bad about that. She would always tell me she loved me before hanging up the phone. She was such a wonderful lady and I know she is now in a wonderful and beautiful place. God bless the family and give you strength and comfort at this time.
