Norma Elaine Wagner, age 68, of Prison Camp Road in Newland died Wednesday July 1, 2015 at The Heritage of Sugar Mountain homes.Born on April 27, 1947 in Wayne County MI, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Louis Parsons Wagner.Norma had a lot of friends and was loved by all that knew her. She loved to make necklaces and made sure everyone around her had one. She would call the radio station to sing happy birthday to whoever was lucky enough to have a birthday that day. Norma was a member of the Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church. She will be greatly missed.Left to cherish her memories are her cousins; Nancy Queen and her husband David of Newland, Charles Parsons and his wife Carolyn, also of Newland, Cynthia McFee of Asheville, and Greg McFee of Newland.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Norma Wagner on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip officiating. Interment will follow at the Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery. I grieve with all the Wagner/Parsons family connections to learn of Norma's death. She was a special person whom I remember with joy. In 1960, I baptised her when she gave her heart and life to Jesus and received her and her dear parents, Mary and Fred, into the membership at Pisgah UMC, Linville Falls. When I returned to Pisgah for a Homecoming, after about 45 years, Norma was first to greet me and to extend her warm heart and eager welcome. Now Heaven holds even more wondrous attraction! I hold each of you who now survive Norma in my thoughts, in my prayers, and in my heart--ever, with love.
