Paulette Dellinger of Spruce Pine, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 after a courageous fight and battle with a lengthy illness. She was beloved by all. To many of her family and friends Paulette was known as Polly, to Debbie she was Mom, to her beloved boys she was Nana. She was the daughter of the late Edward Lowery Jr. and the late Cartha Riddle Lowery of Spruce Pine. She loved her family, her church, her home and her job. She worked several places during her life in the community but none so special to her than working with her sister Jewel at Dellinger’s Bookstore. In a small community she made a million friends. At the store she made “special friends” and everyone she encountered she spoke to and most became her friend. During her illness, it became so apparent to her family just how many friends Polly had made over the years.Paulette gave more than she received in life. She gave endlessly. She loved giving little gifts to everyone around her and I am sure if you knew her you undoubtedly were a recipient. She never wanted to leave anyone out and she always included everyone in her kindness. She loved her church like none other, the pastor and family and everyone in the church family. She rarely missed, and missed being there during her illness. Her church provided love, kindness and compassion during the last year.Paulette leaves behind her loving daughter Deborah Wiseman. Debbie was her pride and joy, wife to her son-in-law Bill and the mother of her most cherished grandsons, Devon, Barclay and Donovan. She was Nana to them, loved them more than life itself and spoiled them more than can ever be imagined. She leaves behind her sister Jewel Dellinger whom she loved dearly, husband Jack, her nieces Karen, Sandy and Jackie and many great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, Polly leaves behind her best friend in the world Junior Blackburn. She will be missed especially by her next door neighbor and friend Tim Biddix. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service celebrating the life of Paulette Dellinger on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Mt.
