The letters she sent to me while in the U.S. Special Forces kept me happy and helped me tolerate my time in the service. She was also a very wonderful date and special friend! "One in a million"!!

I worked with Mrs. Peggy for 2 years at Dr. McCormick's office back in 1998. She was a sweet and gentle lady. She talked back then about living in the mountains when she retired so I'm glad she was able to do this. She was a genuine lovely lady who would give you the shirt off her back. She taught me some recipes for diabetics that tasted as good as the ones with real sugar. She loved my yeast rolls. She will be missed. Will keep her family in my prayers. There was never a day that she did not talk about Bill and her children and grandchildren . See you on the other side Mrs. Peggy.

OMG... I am in shock. Peggy Sue (as I called her) was the greatest " LADY" I ever knew. We have spent so many wonderful hours chatting and laughing at the great beach house in Holded Beach. I love this family so much and am so sorry to hear of her passing. Bill and all the kids and grandchildren, you are in my prayers. The world has lost a true ANGEL. She is in the loving arms of Eva Joe, Bill, Gene & Helen now. What a good time is being had in Heaven. My love and prayers to all.

Bill, please know that Mom, Dad, and I extend our loving condolences on the passing of "Aunt Peggy". Peggy and Bill were my parent's neighbors in Boone back in 1967.....when I was born, I was christened Amanda.....but Peggy from day one cradled me and called me "Mandy Moo".....to this day my nickname is Moo, and I will forever be grateful to her for it. Keeping your family in thoughts and prayers.....she was a beautiful person.
