Sherry Love

Sherry Freeman Love, age 69, of Hanging Rock Road in Spruce Pine, the Ingalls community, went to be with her Savior on Friday, January 29, 2016 at her home.Born on January 25, 1947 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Verna Sue Daniels Freeman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy F. Miller.She was a member of the White’s Memorial Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher for forty years. She retired as a head start teacher with thirty-four years of service. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She spent her life taking care of children and was always concerned for her neighbors.Left to cherish her memories are husband fifty years; Junior Love of the home; her daughter; Dianna Love of Spruce Pine; her son; Scott Love of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren; Lacey Sandra Love and Destiny Nicole Love that were raised by their Nanny and Paw; her brothers; Dr. Lane Freeman of Morganton and Max Freeman and wife, Michelle of Morganton; her nieces; Megan and Maci; a brother-in-law; Grady Miller of Lenior and a friend of the family; Linda Daniels.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Sherry Love on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the White’s Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Andy Stephens and Roger Griffin officiating.
