Shirley Suddreth, age 81, of McHone Road in Spruce Pine, died Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.Born on April 26, 1937 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Beatrice Hawkins Willis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother; Eugene Willis and her sister; Betty Jo Hoyle.Shirley was a member of the Berry Chapel Baptist Church and was the Manager of the Bakery and Deli at Ingles. She was a loving wife and mother that loved all of her family. She also loved her dogs, Emma and Maxx. She enjoyed camping with her family and grandchildren, gardening, and her flowers. She also enjoyed cooking and was a well-known wedding cake baker.Left to cherish her memories are her husband of sixty-two years; Kenneth Suddreth of the home; her son; Kenny Suddreth of Trade, TN; her daughter; Deborah Dysart and husband, Frank of Spruce Pine; her granddaughter; Tanya Morrow and husband, David of Columbus, NC; her grandsons; Trenton Suddreth and wife, Kim of Spruce Pine and Trae Suddreth and wife, Morgan of Spruce Pine; her great granddaughters; Keisha Hughes and husband, John of Burnsville and Allison Suddreth of Spruce Pine; and her great grandson; Joey Dysart of Columbus, NC.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Shirley Suddreth on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Berry Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev’s Steve Williams and Greg Hollifield officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
