Todd Charles Woody

Todd Charles Woody, age 82, of Old U.S. 221-North in Marion, the Woodlawn community, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Brian Center Health and Rehab in Spruce Pine.Todd was born on January 21, 1932 in Mitchell County and was the son of the late Dave and Cartha Greenlee Woody. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Arthur, Robert, and Truett Woody. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran with four years of service to our country.He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marion. He loved his church and served as a Sunday School teacher and Bible School teacher. He was a basketball and baseball coach at North Cove High School and loved by the students that he taught. He enjoyed gardening and was loved and adored as a grandfather.Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Juanita G. Woody of the home; his stepdaughters; Pat Collis and husband, Tom of Spruce Pine and Polly Sisk and husband, Mark of Asheboro; his stepson; Christopher D. McKinney and wife, Linda of Wilmington; his brother; Richard Woody and wife, Phyllis of Tavares, FL; his step grandchildren; Mark Collis and wife, Michelle of Stanley, Susan Blankenship of Morganton, Lori Hall and husband, Randy of Spruce Pine, Sarah Torkington and husband, Jack of Rural Hall, NC, Andrea Sisk of Wilmington, Hayden Sisk of Asheboro, Emily McKinney and Douglas McKinney of Wilmington; step great grandchildren; Liam, Chesni, Shea, Josh, Jason, Taylor, Katie, and Haley; and step great, great grandchildren; Grayson, Mason, and Breez and his nephews; Chris, Ricky, Tim, David, and Michael Woody. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Todd Woody on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Hagaman officiating. Interment will follow in the Grassy Creek Memorial Gardens.
