Arzella Willis

Arzella R. Willis, age 77, of Penland Road in Spruce Pine, died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at her home.Born on May 27, 1940 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Maxine Forbes Renfro. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Burl Ray Willis who passed away in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son; Darren R. Willis; a grandson; Jason Hughes; and her brothers; Ike, Harvey ‘Bill’, and Lewis Renfro.Arzella was a member of the Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her love of her family. She enjoyed watching old western movies and playing Rook.Left to cherish her memories are her children; Carmen Willis and wife, Geri of Spruce Pine; Debra Robinson and husband, Mike of Green Mountain; Pamela McCourry of Bakersville; Jerry Willis of Spruce Pine; and Karen Chandler and husband, Frank of Burnsville; her brother; Wade Renfro and wife, Carolyn of Spruce Pine; five grandchildren; and special friends; Mary Alice Woodby and Ed Silver.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service celebrating the life of Arzella Willis on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Dallas Renfro officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
