Bertha Trivett

June 17, 1931 - June 4, 2022

Bertha Wilson Trivett, age 90, of Gouges Creek Road in Spruce Pine, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at her home. Born on June 17, 1931 in Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Pearl Woody Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Trivett who passed away in 2006. Also preceding her in death was her son; Bruce Trivett; her son-in-law; Joel McKinney and her brother; Jesse Wilson. Bertha was a Godly woman and she attended the First Freewill Baptist Church in Spruce Pine and she was retired from Hampshire Hosiery with over forty years of service. She loved to crochet and working in her flowers. She also loved spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory is her son; Bryan Trivett of Spruce Pine; her daughters; Betty Sue McBee and husband, Larry of Spruce Pine; Patsy Byrd and husband, Bradley of Bakersville and Elizabeth McKinney of Spruce Pine; her sister; Georgia Davis of Spruce Pine; her brothers; Floyd Wilson of Spruce Pine and Paul Wilson and wife, Gail of Midland, NC; her sister-in-law; Linda Trivett of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren; Dale Young and wife, Heather; Brandy Gouge; Melissa Staubitz and husband, Jeff; Matt McBee and wife, Crystal; Jennifer Palmer; Billy Byrd; and Heather Ziemba and husband, Eric, seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service for Bertha Trivett on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev’s Ralph Hedrick and Billy Mitchell officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Gouges Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
