Carl Stewart

Carl Joe Stewart was tragically taken away from us on Thursday, April 2, 2020Born on February 2, 1944 in Swain County, he was the son of the late Melvin and Lela Pitman Stewart.He was loved by this whole community and will be extremely missed. Carl was a long time member and Governor of our Loyal Order of the Moose in Spruce Pine for decades and was an intricate part, of the success of that organization. He also managed and ran the Mt. View Motel and Restaurant for over 10 years. He took every challenge with great enthusiasm. His friendly smile and "hello" will be with us forever.He is survived by his sons, Keith D. Stewart and Adam K. Stewart; nephews, Michael Stewart of Georgia and Robert Stewart of Ohio, nieces Sandra, Theresa and Cindy from Morganton; Patricia and Georgeanne of Burnsville.Due to the Corona Virus, there will be a Memorial Service at a later date.
