Jeremy, David and all of Carolyn's dear, loving family, we send our love and prayers for God's continuing comfort for all of you. Our family was so very blessed to have Carolyn as a loving, caring neighbor and a beloved and cherished friend and sister in Christ. A truly great example and woman of faith, courage, humility and love, what a beautiful difference she made in this world! Overflowing with the love of Jesus, she always chose to please, praise and honor Him, in both good times and the hardest of times, with her great faith, quiet trust, and with a grateful, loving heart that always put others before herself. The countless lives she touched, including ours, were so very blessed with God's precious love that so filled her beautiful heart! She made this world a kinder, gentler, more loving and forgiving place to be, and she will be so very missed! But we know that she has only "left the land of the dying for the land of the living" and knowing that she is, even now, sitting at the feet of Jesus, rejoicing in Him with her beloved husband, we are so happy for her and we look so forward to seeing her again when we get home! God keeps bringing to mind some of His sure promises to her, His faithful and beloved daughter, spoken by our Savior in Matthew 5.."Blessed are those who are pure in heart; for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted."..and His promise in John 16:22, that helps us take heart in this broken world.."So also you have sorrow now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you!"
My heart aches for Jeremy and David and their wives and grands. She loved her family so much. She was such a giving person-any task to be done she was willing, with that beautiful smile and the joy of Christ in her heart. I loved quilting by her at bees and traveling to shows and working festivals and serving on the Board together for so many years. What a dear woman. I miss her so.
David and Jeremy we are so sorry for the deep ache that you must have. Carolyn was such a force of love and kindness with everyone and everywhere she went.
Her and Jim were our wonderful neighbors for years and were the best, friendliest and most cheerful neighbors one could have ever had.
Carolyn would remind me to not take for granted the short time that we have with our spouses and hold on to those moments.
Sweet Carolyn you will be greatly missed by all the people that you touched on this side of Heaven.
Carolyn Dotts made the Exceptional Children's Program a better program from the minute she was hired. She was a joy to work with as her supervisor, and was loved and respected by her co-workers and students. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Sally Woody
My one and only team teaching situation was years ago with Carolyn. I went in intimidated by her experience and left with a friend for life. Carolyn was without fail a kind, supportive, enthusiastic teacher who loved and supported her students and pushed them to go beyond what they thought they could. She has been a great friend ever since and has become a great friend of my mom as well. I will miss her very much.
