Carolyn Renfro

Carolyn Renfro, age 68, of Spruce Pine, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Brian Center Health and Rehab in Spruce Pine.A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Cal and Eve Brook Street. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother; Lynden Street, a father and mother in law; Jeff and Millie Renfro, a brother in law; Lee Renfro, a sister in law; Geraldine Renfro, and nephew; Mason Hughes.Carolyn was a member of Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church. She had a loving heart and enjoyed taking care of her family. She loved people unconditionally and represented what a true Christian should be. Every day she took time to check on others who were sick and in need, and would give a helping hand.Mrs. Renfro is survived by her husband of fifty two years; D.G. Renfro, a son; Jeff Renfro and wife Cassandra of Spruce Pine. A daughter; Sandra Staton and husband Danny of Spruce Pine, a grandson; Dustin Staton of Spruce Pine, brothers; Gale Street and wife Delores of Burnsville and Gene Street of Spruce Pine, a sister; Frances Whitson and husband Steve of Burnsville, brother and sister in laws; Chucky and Sharon Renfro of Burnsville, Richard and Beulah McKinney, Doug and Birtie Willis and Robert and Jerri Hughes all of Spruce Pine, and numerous nieces and nephews.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service for Carolyn Renfro at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church with Revs. Dallas Renfro, Fred Proctor and Doug Willis officiating. Interment will follow in The Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
