Charles Calhoun

Charles Calhoun, age 71, of Reservoir Road in Elk Park, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Cannon Memorial hospital in Linville.Born on December 22, 1946 in Avery County, he was the son of the late Homer and Callie Eller Calhoun. Charles enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, playing golf, his guitar, and bluegrass music.Left to cherish his memories are his daughter; Missy Harwood of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren; Brittany Dellinger and husband, Josh; Dalton Buchanan; Coda Buchanan; and Rylan Harwood; his great grandchildren; Jovi, Judha, Emerlin, Arrow, and Atlas; his brothers; Don Collins and wife, Mary Ellen; Carroll Collins; and Tim Calhoun; his sisters; Tena Brinkley and husband, Steve; Connie Morton and husband, Mike; and Joan Stockton and husband, Ronnie; and special friends; Mike Smith and Jack Boone.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the memorial service honoring the life of Charles Calhoun on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Evergreen Church in Roan Mountain, TN with the Rev.
