Diana Lyons

Diana Lyons, age 51, of Murphy, formerly of Spruce Pine, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her home.Born on April 6, 1969 in Greene County, OH, she was the daughter of Mike and Gloria Damrell Lyons, both of whom survive. Diana was a Graduate of Mayland Community College in Spruce Pine with an A.A.S. Degree in Nursing. She had been an L.P.N. for eight years and was employed by Union County Hospital in Blairsville, GA.Diana was a loving daughter and mother. She was an avid dog lover, she enjoyed painting, and also enjoyed classic rock music.Left to cherish her memories are her parents; Mike and Gloria D. Lyons of Spruce Pine; her daughters; Kasey Sudderberg and husband, Max of Hendersonville and Brittany Wise of Asheville; and Diana’s fiancé, Prescott Fryar of Murphy, NC.A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Bobby Joe Greene and Gene Self officiating.
