Dorothy 'Dot' Crowell

Dorothy Jane “Dot” Lytle Crowell, 92, of Weaverville, NC passed away August 3, 2022 at Smokey Ridge Health and Rehabilitation . Dorothy was born in Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late, John Lytle, Sr. and the late, Jackie Morris Lytle. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard's "Dick" Crowell; her son, Robert Michael Roberts; and her daughter, Renee Cecilia Roberts.Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of West Buncombe High School. She was an avid seamstress and quilter. Dorothy loved to cook and she sold raffle tickets at “Shindig on the Green”. She loved working with her church; Salem Methodist Church, to feed veterans and homeless teenagers.Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dr. Wm. Edward Roberts and wife, Julie of Newland, NC; her daughter, Michelle Roberts of Weaverville, NC; grandsons, Clayton Roberts and Jessica of Bakersville, NC, and Gavin McCulloch of Weaverville, NC; her granddaughter, Morgan McCulloch Robinson of Weaverville, NC; and 5 great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held August 14, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Salem Methodist Church.
