Elizabeth “Lib” Smith was a coworker of mine at The National Center for Health Statistics in Research Triangle Park. I have many fond memories of Lib, one of which was when she gave me a puppy to give to my young daughter. She had the puppy in a cardboard box in the back seat but the pup got out and I had to stop driving because I was afraid of the puppy. I eventually got the pup home and my daughter named the pup Marcus after a classmate of hers. Much later a friend of mine was visiting from New York and informed us that the dog was a female.

Lib always spoke so highly of Harold and her family and how she wanted to move to the mountains.

May she rest in heavenly peace and May sweet memories of her sustain you.
