Greg Foxx, age 51, of Perkins Road in Bakersville, the Buladean community, died Thursday, August 20, 2020.Born on May 18, 1969 in Buncombe County, he was the son of Eddie Burt Foxx and Peggy Honeycutt.Greg was well known as a gentle giant that was loved by everyone that knew him. He had a calming effect on everyone and had the ability to settle things down just by his presence. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Piper, she was the light of his life and he affectionately called her, ‘Squirt’. Prior to his failing health, he was a truck driver and enjoyed Peterbilt trucks.Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Crystal Hall Foxx of Bakersville; his father; Eddie Burt Foxx and wife, Pat of Asheville; his mother; Peggy Honeycutt and Bascom Whitt of Mars Hill; his step daughter; April Honeycutt and husband, Jake of Buladean; his step son; Aaron Ledford and wife, Amanda of Tipton Hill; his step grandchildren; Piper Honeycutt, Madison and Mason Ledford; his brothers; Craig Foxx and wife, Tammy and Patrick Foxx and wife, Janice all of Mars Hill; his very special father-in-law and mother-in-law; Junior ‘Pap’ Hall and Sabra Hall of Spruce Pine; a special friend, Travis Chesser; and a host of nieces and nephews.A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Watson officiating. Interment will be in the Honeycutt Family Cemetery.Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. Please understand we will be following the State’s COVID guidelines. To the family of Greg, I hate that you lost a loved one. Me and my husband met Greg at Little Smokies Restaurant. He was talking to a friend and then started talking to us. He was very nice to us.

I worked with him at scott banks in the early 90s he helped me dump my first trailer load of lime sand and asphalt he was good friend
