Janice Woody

Janice Helen Beam Woody, age 67, of Hanging Rock Road in Spruce Pine, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at her residence.Born on August 14, 1949 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Medora Woody Beam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters; Anita Riddle and Phyllis Pendley.Janice was a good Christian woman. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her grandbabies and working in her garden. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.Left to cherish her memories are her husband of almost 49 years; Jimmy Woody of Spruce Pine, daughter; Tina Moore of Spruce Pine, her sons; Glenn Woody and wife Della of Green Mountain and Tommy Woody of Marion, her grandchildren; Ethan, Austin, Todd, Sabrina, Monica, Megan and Verity, her great grandchildren; Aaliah, Asher and Triston, and a brother; Larry Beam of Spruce Pine.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service for Janice Woody on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the New Hope Baptist Church in Spruce Pine with the Rev. Larry Beam officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
