Ann Kariher
Unfortunately I will not be there tonight physically, but definitely in spirit. My mom, Ann Kariher will be there.
I worked for Kat in the Penland store in my high school years. I am 100% type A and Kat would always calm me. She truly taught me, “don’t sweat the small stuff.” She believed in me when I didn’t have the confidence to believe in myself. Always reassuring me in the store. She would “light up” when my sisters/I walked into the store saying, “Hey Kid!” You could tell she loved us so much. Thank you for posting this Lynn Allinger. It prompted me to put my feelings down on here so her family can see just how much impact she had in my life. Maybe Karson is finally getting to hear, “Hey Kid!” for himself now. Much love and prayers to the family.
This was a lovely tribute my oldest daughter Gretchen texted below the awesome photo that Lynn Allinger had on Facebook and a beautiful note that Lynn had written about Kat.
And I wanted Jimmy and Rosie to see it if they hadn’t yet. Gretchen and Kat were buddies...she learned a lot from Kat in many ways...
I will be getting a note off to Jimmy and Rosie as I am more comfortable doing that. Love to you all with thoughts and prayers 🙏😌
