Linda M. Harrison

Linda M. Harrison, age 72, of Franklintown Road in Spruce Pine, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at her home.Born on September 22, 1944 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late James McKinney, Jr. and the late Edith Stamey McKinney. She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.Linda was a master jeweler and was known worldwide for her work. She loved oil painting and the mountains. She enjoyed archery, fishing, and camping. She also loved surfing the internet and watching Netflix movies.Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Christy Lynn Harrison Buchanan and husband, Carl, Jr. of Spruce Pine; her granddaughters; Heather and Ashley Buchanan of Pineola; her brother; Larry McKinney and wife, Nina of Newland; her nephew; Chad James McKinney of Johnson City, TN; and several cousins and numerous friends.Private funeral services honoring the life of Linda M. Harrison will be on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church with Rev. Jock Ollis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt.
