Lorene Burleson

September 16, 1923 - April 10, 2022

Lorene Burleson, age 98, of Freeman Lane, Spruce Pine the Franklintown community, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at her residence. Born in Avery County, NC she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margie Calloway Burleson and she was preceded in death by her husband Earl Burleson, daughters; Maxine Carpenter and Shirley Crowder and sons; Sonny and Ricky Burleson. Lorene loved her Lord and her family, she enjoyed reading her bible and had read it through many times, she also enjoyed working in her flowers and her garden, and loved being a part the church bus ministry for Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newland she also loved riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway which she called her highway and always looked forward to her Friday night fish dinner date with her son Randy. Left to cherish her memories are her sons; Randy Burleson (Kelly) and Robbie Burleson (Regina) all of Spruce Pine ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home. Interment and graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm in the Pitman Cemetery on Henson Creek.
