Lucy Welch

Lucy Welch, age 85 of Bakersville, North Carolina passed away Sunday November 28, 2021 at the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine surrounded by her loving family. Lucy was a daughter of the late Myron and Laura Imhoff Hochstetler and is preceded in death by a brother Carl Hochstetler.Lucy came to the mountains of North Carolina for the breathtaking scenery in late 1979. She is formally from Lattisburg, Ohio where she grew up on the family farm and attended school. She attended Manchester College where she met her future husband, Ken. Once arriving in North Carolina, Lucy attended Mayland Community College in the nursing program and attained her Registered Nurse license. She was employed at various medical facilities in the area until her retirement.Lucy will be greatly missed by all her loved ones and awaits in heaven to be reunited with her beloved husband, Ken Welch of the home, son; Michael Welch and wife Georgia, daughter; Cindi Welch Watson, grandchildren; Jeffrey Gardner, April Rounkles and Nathaniel Welch, great grandchildren Madelyn, Garrett, Scarlett and Amelia.
