Margaret Buchanan Davis, age 86, of Blue Bird Lane in Marion, died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Brian Center Health & Rehab in Spruce Pine.Born on February 6, 1932 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Bryson and Edith Woody Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Davis, Jr. who passed away in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; Jerry and Jim Buchanan and her sisters; Violet Jane Buchanan and Lucy Silvers.Margaret was a member of the New Manna Baptist Church in Marion and was retired from American Thread with forty-two years of service. She loved the Lord, her church, church family, and her pastor. She enjoyed cooking and making others comfortable and happy.Left to cherish her memories are her son; Clark Davis of Marion; her sisters; Rometta Dean of Asheville and Marie Young of Spruce Pine; her brother; Martin Buchanan of Selena, TX; and her step grandchildren; Tabitha Taylor and Alex Walker.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Margaret Davis on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Shirley officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
