Mary Buchanan

Mary Ann Duncan Buchanan, 62, of Marion, NC was called to her eternal home in Glory on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.A native of Mitchell County, she was born on March 11, 1958 to the late Edgar and Wilma Duncan. Mary Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, caring for others and serving her church.Mary Ann was a great woman of faith who loved the word of God. She spent countless hours reading her bible and taking notes. She was a faithful member of Berry Chapel, Cloudland Baptist and most recently Woodlawn Baptist Church.Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her older sister Sheila Duncan Robinson.Surviving are her husband of 22 years Reggie Buchanan; two sons: Michael Wiseman and wife Sharleen of Newdale and Reggie Buchanan Jr. of the home, two daughters; Mitzi Bullis and husband Brian of Bakersville and Lindsey Duncan of the home, grandchildren; Makayla Wiseman, Samuel Bullis, Andrea Wiseman, Garrett Bullis and Emma Wiseman, two brothers Eddie Duncan of Bakersville and Randall Duncan of Spruce Pine; and her sister; Brenda Duncan Cain and husband Bobby of Bakersville. Several Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.A Celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Cloudland Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Silvers will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
