I first met Michael back in 1980 at the famous Chicago Show. He is still one of the finest military miniaturists ever, and after 40 years of friendship he was and is one of the most talented, and kindest friends I have ever known. God bless you Mike, you will never, ever be forgotten, and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to met and know you. Darryl Audette

Mike was the first person to train me at the Lake GENEVA Post Office. I’ll never forget how he did a spin out in the snowfall and said, “ this is the easiest way to do a u-turn!” He also invited me to join he and his friend on his sailboat which was a very fun experience. I will always be thankful I met such a wonderful person.

My condolences. Mike was good man who always had a smile and kind thought for those around him. His sculpted figures were an inspiration to many but his friendship will be my lasting memory.

Lavonne and I are grieving with you in the loss of Mike. Mike and Vickie were a gift to our church. It was a joy and honor to have served and walked with them as pastor during their Williamsburg years. I remain challenged and encouraged by Mike's persistent upbeat approach to a truly difficult season of life. As a fellow follower of Jesus I now have one more reason to anticipate with joy the Life to come.

So sorry to hear of the loss of such a fun, caring, interesting and energetic man. I will never forget how he and Vicki let us use their beautiful log home for Christmas work parties, and how he took the time to bring myself, son and his friend all sailing for the first time. It was kind of scary for me, but he was supportive and kind, and i could see he lived with joy and a childlike awe that has inspired me in my adulthood. He put the boys to work as they were educated in sailing. What a great day that was! Also, just loved the relationship he had with his daughter, my good friend Melissa. Loved hearing the stories of the Revolutionary re enactment they were involved in. Glad he is home with Jesus
