Michael and Cheryl (Momma) have been such great assets to our community. Michael would hear of a veteran that needed services and like a bloodhound he was on the job. These two would set up a booth at community events and have information available an vereran services. Michael and Cherly gave of themselves to so many in this county by donating eggs, and produce. If Michael heard of a need he was the first one to stand up and say "what can we do about this?" Michael was instrumental in placing monuments around the county in recognition of excellent service. I could go on and on of their service to others.

America has lost a great soildier, one that believed in her. Veterns have lost a fighter of justice. Mitchell County has lost a great citizen. Transportation has lost a great advocate.

Michael has served on the Mitchell County Transportation Advisory Board since 2012. During this time Michael and Cheryl have been strong advocates for public transportation. When Michael believed in something he believed with all his heart.
