Nella McClellan

Nella Young McClellan age 78 of Phillips Road in Spruce Pine passed away Sunday July 3, 2022, at her home. Born in Avery County she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Irene Laws Young. She was preceded in death by a brother, Brad Young and a sister, Sudie Robinson.Nella worked along side her husband as a floral designer and loved working puzzles, working in her flowers, and sitting on the porch with her grand dog Cody. She was a member of Emmaus Road Baptist Church and loved her church family.Left to cherish her memory is her husband Dayton McClellan of the home, daughter, Tammy Simmons and husband Phillip and son, Mark McClellan all of Spruce Pine. She is also survived by a sister, Shelly Greene and husband Billy Ray and a brother, Lewis Young and wife Ann all of Shelby, NC and a host of nieces and nephews.A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be Thursday July 7, 2022, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. The service will follow at 5:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve Robinson, Tommy Carver, Tommy Thomas and Dustin Dellinger officiating.
