Roger Allen Taylor

Roger Allen Taylor, age 60, of Bob Taylor Road in Newland, died Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.Born on March 29, 1958 in Avery County, he was the son of the late Bob and Edith Wise Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Robert and Hall Taylor and his sisters; Ina Carpenter, Elaine Woody, and Debbie Griffith.Roger loved his beagles and rabbit hunting. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Left to cherish his memories are his sisters; Rebecca Howell and husband, Gene of Roan Mountain, TN; Rachel Taylor of Newland, and Linda Buchanan and husband, Jim of Spruce Pine, and several nieces and nephews.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the graveside service honoring the life of Roger Taylor on Sunday, April 15 at 3:00 pm at the Walnut Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Kurt Bomar officiating.
