Sandra Parlier Wilcox, age 71, of Old U.S. 19-E in Spruce Pine, the Estatoe community went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Mission Hospital with her family by her side.She was born in Spruce Pine on November 15, 1950 to the late Marjorie Parlier. She married the love of her life David Greene Wilcox who passed away in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Sue Wilcox who passed away in 1981.Sandy was a member of the Berry Chapel Baptist Church, she loved her church and church family and working in her church when she was able. She had a dear companion; Tiger her cat of eight years. She also had a card ministry which she was very devoted to. She loved her flowers and in her spare time she loved to read. She loved spending time with her family, which she found great delight in. But most of all she Loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed.Left to cherish her memory is her son; David Wayne Wilcox and wife, Frances Wilcox of Burnsville NC; her sister Beverly Burrows and husband, Jim of Chandler; her brothers; Mike Parlier and wife, Angela of Georgia; Greg Parlier and wife, Denise of Asheville, Ray Parlier of Florida and Tommy Parlier and wife, Shelia of Tennessee; her grandchildren; Emily Winters and husband, Tracy of Spruce Pine; Megan Bryant and Tru of Burnsville; two Great Grandchildren; Jerica Woody of Asheville and Corbin Arrowood of Weaverville and her Great, Great Grandchildren; Carter, Bently and William.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service for Sandra Wilcox on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Berry Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Steve Williams and Greg Hollifield officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Berry Chapel Baptist Church.
