Virginia Stewart Jones, age 87, of Spruce Pine died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Brian Center Health and Rehab in Spruce Pine.Born on September 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Rosa Elizabeth Butner Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy M. Jones who passed away in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; Harry, Lewis, George, Jr., Frank, and Jimmy Stewart and a sister; Carrie Wise.Virginia will be remembered for love of cooking and gardening. She was a loving Mother and enjoyed taking care of people.Left to cherish her memories are her sons; Mark Jones and wife, Michele of Greensboro and Gary Jones of Gloucester, VA; her sisters; Dorothy Sparks of Spruce Pine, Grace Robinson of Morganton, Martha Wright of Valdese, and Mary Dodgen of Morganton; her brothers; Tom Stewart of Valdese and Charles Lee Stewart of Spruce Pine; and two grandchildren; Christina Jones of Greensboro and Duncan Jones of Gloucester, VA.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Virginia Jones on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Cannon officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
