Vivian Mann

Vivian McKinney Mann, age 69, of Carter’s Ridge Road in Spruce Pine, died Monday, August 8, 2016 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.Born on January 22, 1947 in Washington County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Pansy Garland McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald W. Mann who passed away in 2012.Vivian was a member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church. She was a 1969 graduate of East Tennessee State University with a B. S. in Social Services. She was also a member of the Parkway Volunteer Fire Department. She loved all of her family and extended family including her grandchildren and great niece and great nephew. She enjoyed crafts and gardening. She had worked part-time at Wal-Mart and Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Emergency Room admissions.Left to cherish her memories are her son; Richard Mann and wife, Laura of Germantown, MD; her grandchildren; Isaac and Francesca Mann; her sister; Carolyn Burleson and husband, Earl Ray of Spruce Pine; her niece; Jessica Duncan and husband, Travis of Spruce Pine; her nephews; Brandon Ray Burleson of Hendersonville; Marty Mann and Pete Mann both of Spruce Pine and Darren Mann of Winchester, VA; great niece; Emily Duncan and great nephew; Austin Duncan.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Vivian Mann on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Dick Westbrook, Gene Self, and Matthew Mills officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm at the church.
