Wayne Pendley

Wayne Pendley, age 63, went to be with Lord on Friday, August 19, 2016.Born on October 14, 1952 in Avery County, he was the son of the late Hazel Pendley. Wayne was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he came home to Spruce Pine where he spent forty years as a taxidermist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and a member of the N.R.A. He loved life and his grandchildren. He was always smiling, laughing, having fun and cutting up with his friends.Left to cherish his memories are his son; Larry Pendley and wife, Tracie of Jonesboro, TN; his stepsons; Dewayne Stevens of Rutherfordton and Bobby Lee Stevens, Jr. of Spruce Pine; his brother; Wheeler Pendley of Spruce Pine; special friend, Tammy Webb of Spruce Pine; and his grandchildren; Ryan Pendley, Samantha Rohn, and Marissa McEntire.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Wayne Pendley on Wednesday, August 24, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Silver officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 1:30 pm until the service hour in the funeral home chapel.
