Wilma Lynn ‘Buttons’ Autrey, age 53, of Strawberry Hollow in Union Mills, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017.Born on September 30, 1964 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ima Jean Clemons Autrey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, China Autrey.Wilma will be remembered for her love of animals and particularly cats. She enjoyed being outdoors, being in nature and taking walks. She also enjoyed working in her flowers and reading.Left to cherish her memories and her sons; Tim Swann, husband of, Robbie of Valdese and Terry Hollifield, Jr. of Marion; her sisters; Rosa Whitt of Hickory and Derata Robinson of Nebo; her brothers; James Autrey of Sanford, Freddy Autrey of Union Mills, Robie and Rodney Autrey both of Spruce Pine; and her grandsons; Robert and Aaron.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the graveside service for family and friends honoring the life of Wilma Autrey on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Autrey Family Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Hensley officiating. Wilma was such a sweet and caring person. She was always nice to me when we were in school . I will miss her .
She is now free like a butterfly being held in the hands of God
