Bea White

Bea Burleson White, age 96, of Sunshine Hill Street in Spruce Pine, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Brian Center Rehabilitation and Palliative Care of Spruce Pine.Born on April 3, 1922 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late B.B. and Bonnie Young Burleson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband; Burton L. White, a brother; J.D. Burleson and a son; Billy Pendley.Bea was a member of Central Baptist Church of Spruce Pine and was a very active member when able to go. She loved to sing in the choir and enjoyed reading.Left to cherish her memories are her cousin; Gwen Hefner Hawley of Spruce Pine, a nephew; Ken White and wife Rachel of Early, TX, Great-nephews; Dave White and wife Marcy of May, TX and Charlie White and wife Beth of Odessa, FL. She also leaves behind her special friends; Ima Conroy, Ruby Davis, Wilann Ward, Nancy Burleson, Dot McKinney and Pastor Jody Griffin and his wife Sheila.The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Bea White on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Central Baptist Church in Spruce Pine with the Rev. Jody Griffin officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service.
