David Albert King Sr.

David Albert King, Sr., age 62, of Wing Road in Bakersville, died Monday, May 18, 2020 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.Born on December 25, 1957 in West Point, NY, he was the son of the late Jimie and Patricia King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelley Hefty King. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Russell. David was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Marine Corp League.Left to cherish his memories are his son; David Albert King, Jr and wife, Tiffany of Spruce Pine; his daughters; Crystal Mechtel and husband Lane of Montana, Jennifer Turner of Florida, and Amber Dembeck and husband, Nick of Denver, CO; his brother, Dennis King and wife, Connie of Bakersville; his sisters; Diana King of Wake Forest, NC and Elizabeth Barton of Alamosa, CO; his grandchildren; Alexandra, Patricia, David, III, Melinda, and Dalton Turner; several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.A memorial service will be on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00 am.
