Sad to hear about the passing of Fred. I was a friend from many years ago back in the 70's & 80's. May he rest in peace. Mark Pennella

Fred was an all around good guy. He supported racers and racing and was always generous in his assistance with the racing community. Fred was always a gentleman and pleasant to be around.

As a push truck operator I had contact with Fred many times at the Indiana race tracks. He was just one of the gang. I looked for his van in the pits each race so I would know he was there. I will miss him very much.

Fred was a long time friend. Back in the super modify days. When he moved to CA he would come to our home on his way though town We put him up fed him and did his laundry. He stopped at every dirt track from NY to CA. the laundry basket had an inch of dirt on the bottom. I loved those visits.I really don't believe that there is a race track he had not been too, Ron and him could talk racing till the cows came home. He will be missed. Love to his wife and family Phyllis Buckner
